KADIYALI SHRI MAHISHAMARDHINI TEMPLE

Kadiyali Mahishamardhini temple is located in Udupi District, Karnataka, India. This is one of the oldest temples in Udupi district. The history of Kadiyali Mahishamardhini temple dates back to 1200 years. The image of Goddess Mahishamardini is unique and it is in a standing position. The statue of Goddess has four arms. Goddess Mahishamardini is holding the Prayaga Chakra in her upper right hand and the Shanka in her upper left hand. She is piercing the head of Mahishaasura, a demon, with her Trishul held in her lower right hand. She is pulling the tail of Mahishaasura with her lower left hand. Kadiyali Mahishamardhini temple attracts more devotees on Fridays for Darshan and special poojas.Navarathri and Ganesha Chaturthi are celebrated at Kadiyali Mahishamardhini temple in a grand scale.
