AMRUTHESHWARI TEMPLE, KOTA

The Amrutheshwari temple is situated in the Kota village just 20 meters away from the National Highway 66. Devotees from all overthe country come here and worship the godess to grant them the motherhood. Thus many number have revieved the blessings from the diety in one form or the other. In front of the temple, there is pond named "Varuna Theertha". An old tradition still prevails among the local devotees in around 14 nearby villages to offer a seva to the diety when a child is born in their family. Belakina Seve, Thulabhaara seve and applying oil to the Linga are considered to be of much importance. Right from many years it is a tradition to perform daily sevas of the diety by the priest belonging to the "Dharmanaathi Panth" of Naath community.
